Just got back from our weekly Houston meeting to find out about a bomb threat at KPFA, Berkeley, California which even if a hoax alludes to something very significant, and the apparent firing of Bessie Wash by Robert Farrell. I believe, and so do many of our members in Houston, that we are currently witnessing the end of the Pacifica network which is unraveling tonight rapidly.
Whatever happens, rest assured that Houston will continue to work for the ideals developed by Pacifica and actively promote community access to media. Feel free to contact us at any time.

Editor's note: This is proof that if we persevere, boycott does ultimately succeed because many people didn't subscribe to the pledge drives, instead preferring to support the Pacifica Campaign. Of course, the more people participate in a boycott, the sooner it will succeed provided that many people participate initially.
