I Have This Dream

By Crystal Cartier

SPOKEN INTRO
Despite the world's problems
Despite war mongering insanity
I refuse to give up on Love
I refuse to give up on Humanity

CHORUS
I have this dream...
This I believe...
That only Love can conquer everything
Love can heal
If Love is real
I have this dream

I have this dream
strange as it seems
Despite the trouble that I see
Every soldier in every nation
drop their guns
in a Peace Celebration

(I have this dream... This I believe)
No more fighting
No more war
Every child can reach for the stars
I forgive you
Can you forgive me?
I have this dream...
this dream of peace

RAP/SPOKEN
BRIDGE = Excerpt MLK SPEECH

I have a dream that one day....
A man will be judged by the content of his character....and not by the color
of his skin....

(I have this dream...) I have this dream
(This I believe) It fills my heart
It gives me hope
that helps the healing start
Love is alive
Hope has survived
I have this dream...

I have this dream...
This I believe
Despite all the pain & misery
Life's a miracle
God's always visible
in the faces of the world's children

(I have this dream...No more hunger
This I believe)  No more war
Every single child can reach up for the stars
I forgive you
Can you forgive me?
I have this dream...
I have this dream
Love can heal (All folks Black to White)
If Love is real (No more need to fight)
I have this dream
Oh I have this dream....
this dream of peace
-- I dream of peace --
-- Peace --
