U.N. IS A BUREAUCRATIC MONSTROSITY

A bureaucracy is defined as (1) The administration of government through departments and subdivisions managed by sets of appointed officials following an inflexible routine, and (2) The concentration of authority in a complex structure of administrative bureaus. Indeed, the UN is a complex structure! Its departments, bureaus, and subdivisions are managed by appointed and self-appointed officials. It follows inflexible routines. It presents itself as a governing body--not for any single country--but for the entire world.

The United Nations is an organization of organizations. If you are not a member of some non governmental organization (NGO) you cannot be recognized by the UN. Individuals have no status. In the eyes of the UN they do not exist. As an individual you may not participate in any UN world conferences. You must first be affiliated with, and chosen by the chief official of a non governmental organization.

The UN claims authority by inviting members of organized groups to share its values and participate in its projects. The selected members make commitments to United Nations beliefs and policies. Then they obligate the organizations they represent to support UN beliefs and policies in their own countries, states, counties, and cities.

Representatives from the non governmental organizations (NGOs) pledge their organizations to support the UN and report regularly to the UN on their organization's operations and activities. This is necessary before the organization is certified for consultative status or the roster by the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The NGOs are then obligated to the United Nations and to all the programs the United Nations monstrous bureaucracy promotes.

Without their knowledge millions upon millions of people in all countries have been committed to United Nations beliefs and policies through their membership in non governmental organizations. Few if any national or international organizations have not assumed this obligation. By using NGOs in this fashion, the UN claims to represent everyone, but it is accountable to no one. The bureaucracy is too monstrous and too comprehensive for anyone to be held accountable.

There are more than 700 NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC. Among those with general consultative status are the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, Planned Parenthood, Alliance of Women, CARE, Confederation of Free Trade Unions, Council of Voluntary Agencies, Council on Social Welfare, Federation of Agricultural Producers, Federation of Associations of the Elderly, National Council of Negro Women, Federation of Business/Professional Women, Social Security Association, Union of Local Authorities, Inter Press Service International Cooperative, Liberal International, Muslim World League, Society for International Development, Socialist International, World Confederation of Labor, Zonta International, World Economic Forum, World Fellowship of Buddhists, etc., etc., etc.

Organizations with Special Consultative Status include: Afro-Asian People's Solidarity, American Association of Jurists, American Association of Retired Persons [AARP], Amnesty International, Arab Lawyers' Union, Baha'i, Christian Children's Fund, Church World Service, Consultative Council of Jewish Organizations, Education International, Freedom House, Goodwill Industries, Greenpeace International Council, Habitat for Humanity, Indigenous World Association, Academy of Architecture, Association for Civil Servants, Association of Democratic Lawyers, Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists, Association of Judges, Association of Lions Clubs, Association of Schools of Social Work, Assoc. of University Presidents, Association of Women in Radio/TV, International Bar Association, Council of Jewish Women, Council of Scientific Unions, Federation of Journalists, Federation of University Women, International Press Institute, Real Estate Federation, Young Christian Workers, Social Science Council, YWCA, World Psychiatric Association, and on, and on....

Then there is the ECOSOC Roster. The hundreds of organizations on the Roster cannot contribute their opinions and ideas except by special invitation. However, along with organizations in consultative status, the roster NGOs can be accredited for participation to UN world conferences; and are obligated to support the UN and its policies. United Nations world conferences are always set up to provide justification, propaganda, and promoters for greater and greater intrusion into the internal affairs of member states and lives of individuals.

The United Nations most important current project is sustainability, a bold attempt to sustain its power over everything and everyone forever. It seeks decision making power in every phase of human life and management of every resource. In other words, it seeks its own sustainability. All things are to be sustained under United Nations guidelines. The United Nations has designated the years 2005 through 2014 as the Decade of Sustainability and Education for Sustainability.

The wheels are already in motion. Sustainable Development, also called Agenda 21 or Smart Growth, is the United Nations goal for the 21st Century. NGOs, governments and universities all over the world are cooperating. Sustainable Development [Order: Liberty or Sustainable Development] was introduced to the world at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development which was held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. Its moral compass is a document called the Earth Charter which was conceived by the Communist former President of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev and his associate, Maurice Strong, a Canadian billionaire who uses his fortune to support international bureaucracy.

The Earth Charter marks the world's return to Paganism. In Mikhail Gorbachev's speech at the Rio+5 Forum on March 18, 1997 he said, "Our document begins with the words: 'We declare our respect for the Earth,' we treat her as a living being, and we are grateful to Mother Earth for her gift of life for the numbers of generations of humankind in spite of mistreatment with which these generations paid back to her.'...

"Now we have got the chance to get together as people concerned about our mutual future, as people who accept the Earth in all her diversity and also as an entity, united by a mutual destiny." In order to make Agenda 21, or the United Nations bureaucracy's Sustainable Development happen, broad public participation is needed.

For this purpose the earth's population has been classified into the following groups:
Women
Children and Youth
Indigenous People
Non-governmental Organizations
Local Authorities
Workers and Trade Unions
Business and Industry
Scientific and Technological Communities
Farmers

Loyalty to one's group or class can then replace loyalties to God, family, and country. Every NGO can be assigned to its own collective.

It has been a century and one half since Auguste Comte, the father of sociology, declared, "The only real life is the collective life of the race; individual life has no existence except as an abstraction." 1 and, "The requisite convergence of the best minds cannot be obtained without voluntary renunciation on the part of most of them, of their sovereign right to free inquiry." 2 and, "We must get rid of personality in every shape, even of the personality of an imaginary being, if we would found a powerful and enduring discipline in the name of humanity." 3

If United Nations Sustainability succeeds you, along with all NGO members, become nonentities and non personalities. The self-appointed guardians of humanity will be your decision makers. You will be required to sacrifice your individuality, control of your property, your ability to make decisions for yourself and your children, your independence, and your ability to seek and abide by the truth. This is what will be required if the United Nations bureaucratic monstrosity is sustained.
